Of course the way my life works out, I miss Rihanna ringing customers out at her pop up shop last night. Not to mention my friend text me in the middle of the day asking were we going to the pop up! AHHHHHH!
I don’t know if I’m more irritated that I missed Rihanna or her Marie Antoinette inspired active wear collection. Mind you, I had plans to drop in the next day after work, because the hype would’ve died down. But after Rihanna’s appearance last night, I’m sure today will be even a bigger frenzy (hence why I don’t do events with super large crowds. My anxiety cant take it). I can’t take how flawless RiRi is. Everything she wears is so effortless.
Editor in Chief, Alexandra Shulman, of British Vogue announced her retirement, we all were wondering WHO’S UP NEXT? Okay maybe the rest of the world didn’t use those exact words but still. Well, Vogue announced the amazing Edward Enninful will be her successor. Talk about Black Excellence.
Here’s a quick history lesson on Enninful. Edward got his start at I-D magazine as Fashion Director at 19! See mom, you shoulda let me run off after high school to NYC to model, who knows where I would be lol. He went on to work for I-D for almost 20 years, while also contributing to Italian and American Vogue.
In 2004 he received the Isabella Blow Award for fashion creator at the British Fashion Awards. Enninful was also appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire for his services to diversity in the fashion industry by none other than Queen Elizabeth.
Not to mention for the past 6 years, Edward has been the creative and fashion director at W Magazine. Not bad.
With all these accolades under his belt, Enninful was almost predestined for this role of Editor in Chief at Vogue. I van not wait to see what he does with Vogue. He will begin his role August 1st.

While we are all looking forward to The Who’s wearing what tonight on the red carpet at The Oscars, I felt it was only right to take a look back of some of the best dressed actresses over the history of The Oscars!
Cher STUNNED the world in Bob Mackie, as she took home The Oscar for Best Actress in 1988
Liz Hurley’s (accompanied by then boyfriend Hugh Grant) Versace safety pin dress would totally be on trend if she were to wear it today. Lady Gaga wore her dress not to long ago and it wasn’t as fly on Gaga!
Who could forget Halle Berry on Elie Saab? That dress and Oscar Win was monumental!
Hey Penelope! Versace Couture is LIFE.
Kate Husdon always is a Red Carpet Winner!
Lupita showed up and showed out as she won Best Supporting actress in Prada
Sarah Jessica Parker always takes a page out of Carrie’s book and shuts the show down! So many great Oscar Best Dressed moments I couldn’t pick one.
Sjp in Dior in 2009 SJP in Chanel
Angelina is always a Red Carpet Goddess.
Let’s not forget Audrey Hepburn in Givenchy. Crazy how Givenchy has become a Street Couture Brand!

Even though the cover of this issue is not all that exciting as for the March 2017 “Women Rule!” issue of Vogue US Kendall Jenner sure did a some awesome looks in as per usual. I love how this cover did celebrate diversity sort of, but I could have went for a little more melanin and a lot more sister girl! Baby steps I guess! Check out the cover below along with some of my favorite images from Kendall!
Our favorite Future is dropping a new album this week. So you all knew it was only right he announces a tour also. The rapper/producer caught everyone’s eyes when he wiped out his social media Instagram account and unfollowed everyone and deleted all his pictures except DJ Esco! I have been couponing for a couple years and I recently shared with my Snap Chatty fam how I like to save when it comes to groceries. I got so much feedback on it I wanted to share it with The DC fam as well. I honestly get some joy in getting to the checkout and watching my balance being lowered with the help of my good friends, COUPONS! (more…)
As many tuned into The Golden Globes to see who would take home one of the most prestigious awards in television and film, I was here for the Fashion! Though there weren’t as many “wow” fashion moments like there have been in the past. There were definitely some show stoppers and a few just stop moments. Here are my top 5 show stoppers of the night!
Golden Globe Winner Tracee Ellis Ross stuns in Zuhair Murad with Louboutin Pumps. This look is EVERYTHING to me. Sexy yet simple and chic. I was thinking the rings were a little much but ah what the hell go big or go home and I love the long pony (that’s on trend for spring)
4) Gina Rodriguez
Jane the Virgin’s Gina Rodriguez always shows up and shows out since her big win 2 years ago. Last night, Gina wore a Naeem Khan white fringe gown accessorized with jewels from Chopard. I’m loving the old glam Hollywood look and the Colgate smile to match!
When Kerry Washington hit the red carpet, my mouth dropped! It was like she she was almost unrecognizable. The dark lip and the long bone straight hair is all the rage and baby, SHE DID THAT! Dolce and Gabbana was the perfect choice! When I saw her heels, I instantly knew they were Sophia Webster! Not to mention her polish is from her collaboration with OPI! Werk Kerry!
2) Olivia Culpo
Olivia Culpo may be my lastet obsession! I recently started following her on Instagram and wondered how I was late to the party. Her fashion game is out of control, which leads us here. Olivia wowed the crowd in Zuhair Murad while being draped in jewels by Lorraine Schwartz! Everything just works together here!
My top pick will forever be Veronica Mars in my heart, Kristen Bell! This Jenny Packham tuxedo gown is the wave! When she stepped out I couldn’t believe Kristen Bell was wearing it, which is how it’s suppose to be. The Harry Winston jewels accompanied by her confidence, just works! I also love, love her hair!!!
Sarah Jessica Parker in Vera Wang
Emily Ratajowski in Reem Acra
