I got to travel back home to St. Louis over the holidays and got to check out some of my favorite restaurants and bars. Not only did I get a chance to indulge in some of my favorite places. I was able to check out some new places that where on my radar that I had been eyeing! One thing I can say St. Louis is known for is good food and plenty of places to find a perfect cocktail! Believe me when I say St. Louis never half steps on the eats, lol! Here is a couple of my favorite places and my Saint Louisans if you have not tried these, do so ASAP! Tell them The District Confidential sent you!!!
1. Half & Half (Clayton)
This was my first time at this brunch/lunch place ! The place was buzzing and the wait was around 20-30 minutes! However it was surely worth he wait! I had the blueberry pancakes and they are so light a fluffy and have a great homemade flavor! The cocktails area absolutely amazing . My friend opted for the Bloody Mary even though I steer clear of anything involving tomatoes the fried pickle garnish on top was quite yummy! The service was also exceptional and the staff was attentive and on top of their game!

2. Baileys Chocolate Bar
This is one of my all time favorites. Whenever I am home I just have to go here! I have pretty much given every cocktail on the menu a run and this place never disappoints ! The menu does change from time to time but you can always request whatever your heart desires! One of my favorite drinks that’s not on the menu is the “Tiramisu Martini” its the perfect dessert cocktail, it’s yummy and like ice cream infused with alcohol ! I just need to find a place half as good as this in Washington DC !!
I absolutely love Bricktop in Frontenac! They have the absolute best happy happy to me! At their bar daily from 4-6 pm even on SATURDAYS! We all know a Saturday Happy Hour is hard to come by! Especially in St. Louis ! If you want to even get a seat I suggest getting there by 3:45 pm because the bar area fills up pretty fast! When I am there I usually opt for the spinach dip, deviled eggs with milliabaire bacon, and of course lots of martinis because they are always $6 dollars at the bar area! They make a killer lemon drop martini or if you want some stronger the “French Martini” does the trick.

4. Tani Sushi
Tani sushi bistro is probably the best sushi place in St. Louis hands down to me! This place has expanded so much over the years . The new location is huge and superb ! The rolls are here at so fun and tasty! No matter what kind of mood I’m in I always have to have the “OMG roll” it’s brought out on fire and amazing and just melts in your mouth! The cocktails here are always flavorful and strong! Request the “Naughty Geisha” it’s not on the menu anymore but it is one of my favorites and lives up to its name ;-)! I even like the nigiri “smoked salmon” it’s the best nigiri I have had at any sushi restaurant !
